TEHRAN – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said here on Monday that preserving order in the country indicates the effectiveness of the Islamic system.

In a meeting with commanders of the national police force, the Supreme Leader stated that the police are tasked with maintaining people’s physical, mental, and moral security. He noted that power is an inevitable necessity for the police, saying, “The maintenance of order in the country shows the power of the Islamic system, and if done with dignity, respect and kindness, it can have a very deep influence.”

Prior to Ayatollah Khamenei’s remarks, National Police Commander Brigadier General Esmaeil Ahmadi Moqaddam presented a report of the police force’s activities over the past year and its plans for the next year.
